Kunhimangalam Grama Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives responsible for carrying out the administrative functions of the Panchayati Raj institutions. In the case of a Grama Panchayat, it is the principal body responsible for implementing the decisions of the Gram Sabha and carrying out day-to-day administration.President - The head of the Panchayat. The President presides over meetings and supervises the overall functioning of the Panchayat.Vice-President - performs the duties and responsibilities of the President in the President’s absence.Ward Members - elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat.

History of Grama Panchayat

Kunhimangalam is a region with human habitation dating back to the prehistoric Megalithic culture, and stone-age relics can still be found in its surrounding areas. At one time, this region belonged to the Ezhimala kingdom and later came under the rule of the Kolathiri. According to the Keralolpathi, Kunhimangalam is listed as one of the 32 Tulu villages.
